"How Did They Come Up With ‘Cute’?! Or, Reasons I Am Not A Neoshipper"

By: Mabis

One may read the title and think, "Where did they say cute?" or, more likely, "What the heck is a Neoshipper?" First off, Neoshippers are people who think Yamato and Kosaburou, or, more specifically, Cassidy and Butch, are love with each other, and think they make the cutest couple since, well, whomever, but you get the idea. To answer the other question, Yamato and Kosaburou use the line, "The cute, charming villains!" when they say their motto, kind of like how Musashi and Kojirou use the line, "The lovely, charming villains!"

As the title indicates, I am not a Neoshipper. As much as I love these two, I truly do not think anything romantic is going on between them, nor do I think there is any evidence to support a romance between them.

I personally get a little nauseated when I hear people squeal about how cute they look together, but that's just me. I also get sick when people point out the most trivial and inane details to support their theory. For example, one reason someone gave for Neoshippyness was that they stand right next to each other. Yeah, when people work together they will often stand next to each other. After all, it is a little difficult to talk to someone who is across the room. The most common reason given is that they look cute together. This is purely a subjective reason, and carries about as much weight in an argument as someone saying "I don't like it!" My personal favorite though, is, and I do quote, "Butch doesn't cross dress! (not that we know of anyway…)" The first thing that goes through my mind, and with all of these, really, is "Your point?" Seriously, though, what does Butch's choice in apparel have to do with their relationship? I could give more examples, but I do think I have made my point.

To me, Yamato and Kosaburou do not seem like the type of people who would give each other the dreaded goo goo eyes look at every waking moment. Of course, this is coming from someone who thinks that they would blow someone's brains out without a moment's hesitation.

What I really wish is that Neoshippers would just admit that there is no real evidence to support Neoshipping. I will be the first to admit that there is no evidence supporting a sibling relationship. Heck, almost everything about them I made up. I also wish they would stop shoving their ideas down my throat with a jackhammer. Accept the fact that I think differently then you, and move on. (*Note: Expressing your ideas is quite different from forcing them on others. I'm in favor of free speech, but I'm not in favor of people demanding that I think the same way they do.)

So, you will not find one trace of Neoshippyness on this site. Love, yes; love between Yamato and Kosaburou? I think I'd rather watch the dubbed version of 'Mewtwo Strikes Back.'
