Parfaite la Vie
By: Mabis
Two figures sat at a table, elaborately set for morning tea. The figures were overlooking a vast and extensively manicured garden, and an incredibly large mansion served as a backdrop. The female was named Keiko; she was long and thin, with short, jet-black hair and garnet eyes. She appeared fragile, but in truth she had a strong physique capable of heavy, strenuous activity. Her companion was a male named Tadashi. He also had jet-black hair, but with midnight blue eyes and a muscular build. They were in their late twenties, their faces still possessing the essence of youth, as though age dared not trespass on their perfect skin. The two of them, sitting in their lavish garden, were like the ideal man and woman; everything about them seemed perfect. They were very intelligent, incredibly wealthy, and highly sophisticated. They were also very much in love with each other, sharing a very passionate, and very physical, relationship.
Even though they had loved each other, and slept together, for many years prior to their marriage, the marriage itself had been forced. Since both of them had come from extremely wealthy families that still held on tightly to old traditions, it was expected that the daughter would be married off to a worthy husband. Keiko’s parents relentlessly pressured her to get married despite her objections, calling it a pompous display of wealth and prestige, where the main attraction was the bride and groom on display for everyone to gawk at. Eventually, however, she gave into the demands and married Tadashi, who also disliked the idea of marriage for the same reasons she did. After they were married, the two continued their love life with even more passion.
On this bright morning Keiko and Tadashi were discussing an article in the newspaper about the recent death of a prominent Pokemon researcher, Dr. Uchikido, and her three young assistants. Assassins had fatally shot her and her assistants, leaving no evidence behind. Each victim was found slumped over her work with one bullet in the head; they never even realized what danger they were in.
"She was such a promising researcher, too bad Sakaki wanted her dead," Keiko commented.
"Yes, pity she refused to cooperate with Rocket-Dan. Her life could have yielded so much more," Tadashi added.
"Well, look on the bright side, dear, at least we got a chance to spend a few days in the beautiful Orange Islands." Keiko leaned in closer to her lover, and added, "You know how much I like to have sex on moonlit beaches."
Tadashi smiled at her comment, and added, "Yes, we must do that more often."
"How about right now?" she asked, her dark red eyes gleaming.
"But there aren’t any beaches around, love," he said, slightly confused.
"I’m not talking about the beaches, dear."
Tadashi realized what she was saying, and grinned. The two of them got up and walked towards the mansion, barely able to contain themselves on their way to the bedroom.

It was later that day, and Keiko and Tadashi were sitting in Sakaki’s posh office. They were dressed not in the regular uniforms of Rocket-Dan, but rather in plain black suits, with a red "R" pinned to their lapels.
"I must commend you on your success on your recent assignment," Sakaki said, putting down the day’s newspaper. "According to the press, the murders will be unsolvable."
"It was an easy assignment, really," Keiko began, "The laboratory was deserted except for those four. Not to mention they were so intent on their work that nothing less than a tsunami would have distracted them."
"Did you get a look at what they were working on?" Sakaki asked.
"Yes, they were working on the mysteries of the Koratta digestive system. Truly fascinating research," Tadashi said, with more than a touch of sarcasm.
"I guess the world will never know exactly how a Koratta takes a shit," Sakaki said, while opening a desk drawer and pulling out an envelope. "Here is your usual payment," handing it to the pair, "I don’t have another assignment for you, but I would like it of you two stayed in town."
"Very well," Tadashi said, "Call us when you need us." The pair then got up to leave, but were interrupted by Sakaki.
"Where were you two, I thought you got back from the Orange Islands this morning? It’s now after three."
"We had some business to attend to at home," Keiko replied, without giving any indication as to what the "business" was. Sakaki wisely decided not to press the issue, and the two left the office.

Later that night, Keiko and Tadashi were enjoying their dinner of gourmet sashimi in the more intimate, yet still impressive, west dining hall. They were discussing the quality, or lack thereof, of their imported wine when a servant handed them a note.
Tadashi took it and quickly read it before handing it to Keiko. "It says that we are invited to a dinner party hosted by the Assuru family in honor of their daughter Rumika’s twenty-third birthday."
Keiko dropped the invitation in disgust, clearly not welcoming the invitation. "I hate the Assurus, and I especially hate that bitch daughter of theirs. There’s no way in hell that I’m going to their party."
"You know, love," Tadashi replied, "There’s a way out of this that’s quick and simple, and we should have done it a long time ago anyway."
She looked at him in agreement. "Sad how even the rich breeds worthless people. I suppose they are no different than everyone else, they just try to mask it."
"It doesn’t matter in the end, anyway, all worthless people will eventually be eliminated," he added, sipping his wine.
"Yes, too bad we can’t kill them all personally," she said, with some disappointment in her voice. "We’ll have to rely on nature to help rid the surplus population, not to mention they do such a good job of killing themselves off, as well."
"The only problem is, though, is that there are so damn many of them. The entire human population is almost entirely made up of worthless people. A cleansing won’t happen overnight."
"Well, dear, one person at a time. In this case, however, we’ll dispose of the entire Assuru family at once."
"Too bad we didn’t do this sooner." Tadashi finished his wine before continuing, "Now, come, love, I’m feeling exceptionally aroused tonight."
Keiko smiled at his bluntness, and the two eventually made their way to the bedroom, where they made passionate love until the wee hours of the night.

It was two days after the Assuru murders that Sakaki called Keiko and Tadashi into his office for another assignment. He knew full well they were responsible for the deaths of the Assurus, but he did not concern himself with it whatsoever; what his personal assassins did on their free time was their business, not his.
“I have another job for you two, but this one is a bit different,” He began as soon as Keiko and Tadashi sat down. “As you know, some members are not as successful as others. I can accept that. What I cannot accept, however, is constant failure over the course of several years, nor the interfering of other members' assignments. That kind of behavior is not only highly damaging, but it also goes against everything Rocket-Dan stands for.”
"So you want us to kill those who have done nothing but disgrace Rocket-Dan?" Keiko asked, without a hint of emotion.
Sakaki leaned over on his desk and folded his hands. "Yes," He said, in a deadly serious voice. "I want you to kill Rocket members Miyamoto Musashi, Shinmen Kojirou, and the talking pokemon Nyaasu. They have failed me one too many times. Their informing of the police of other Rocket-Dan members' activities was the final straw. Their deaths will serve as an example that this kind of behavior will not be tolerated.”
"Very well," Tadashi said, completely emotionless of the fact they had just been assigned to kill their traitorous Rocket members. "Where can we find them?"
Sakaki leaned back in his chair and said, "They haven’t reported to me in months, presumably to cover up their failures; another practice I despise. They should not be that hard to find, though. I have been informed that they were recently in the Jingi City area.”
Keiko and Tadashi promised to eliminate the failures as quickly as possible, and left the office. As they left, Sakaki thought about the blemish that would soon be removed from the otherwise glorious Rocket-Dan, and wondered why he took so long in ordering their elimination.

It did not take Keiko and Tadashi long to find Musashi, Kojirou, and Nyaasu. They were disappointed with the relative easiness, however, since they were hoping for at least some kind of challenge. The pair watched their targets from a safe distance away, completely hidden from view.
"Sakaki was right," Tadashi whispered, breaking the silence. "These people are the definition of incompetence. It’s a wonder he put up with them as long as he did."
"That it is," Keiko replied. "I heard that they were the worst members the organization ever had, but that doesn’t even begin to explain their opprobrium." She paused before adding, "These people are truly worthless."
"It shall be a pleasure killing them." Tadashi loaded up his high-powered sniper rifle before continuing, "I’ll take him and the fleabag, you take her."
Keiko, who was loading her own rifle, replied, "Why do you get two while I only get one?"
"Because, love, you got to kill two the last time, so it’s my turn now," he said, aiming his rifle.
"Very well then," she said, aiming her own rifle. "Ready?"

Musashi, Kojirou, and Nyaasu were sitting on a log, completely oblivious to the danger they were in. They had been arguing again, mainly about how broke they were.
"I’m hungry!" Kojirou said, rubbing his stomach. "When are we going to eat?"
"Shut your mouth!" Musashi replied, whacking him on the head. "We can’t eat unless we get some money."
"And we can’t get money until we get that Pikachu!" Nyaasu added.
"I hope the boss doesn’t find out we messed up again," Kojirou said, his mind quickly turning from food to failure.
Musashi whacked him again. "What he doesn’t know won’t hurt him. Now, come on, we’ve got to go find that brat boy and get that Pikachu so we can get that bonus!"
They did not get very far, however. Three barely audible gunshots were the only warning the trio had before they were shot, one bullet through each brain. Silence immediately gripped the area, broken only by the rustling of leaves as the killers left to tell Sakaki of their success.

Once again Keiko and Tadashi were in Sakaki’s office, this time to tell him of their recent success. They had been especially pleased to rid Rocket-Dan of its worst members ever, and quite possibly the most worthless people they had ever seen.
"I congratulate you two on removing the blemish from Rocket-Dan," Sakaki said once the pair sat down. "Did you have any problem finding them?"
"Unfortunately, no," Keiko said, with some disappointment in her voice. "We were hoping for at least some kind of challenge, but instead they were pathetically easy to locate."
Tadashi nodded in agreement. "I have never seen such utter incompetence in my life. How did you ever manage to put up with them for so long?"
"Call it overabundant optimism," Sakaki replied. "I was hoping they would get better, and thus be able to pay back some of their debt. Instead, they got progressively worse, and working with the police demanded immediate removal." He then opened up a desk drawer and pulled out an envelope. "Here is your payment," He said, handing it to them. "I added a bonus to your regular salary due to the nature of the assignment."
"Very well," Tadashi said, taking it. "Do you have another assignment for us?"
Sakaki thought for a moment before replying, "No, I probably won’t have another assignment for you two in a while, anyway."
"We were planning on vacationing at our chateau in France," Keiko said, "And we were hoping to stay there at least two weeks."
Sakaki nodded and said, "Alright, then, call me when you return."
They agreed and left the office, their thoughts already on the French countryside and how good it felt on naked skin.

After an uneventful trip, Keiko and Tadashi arrived at their French chateau. They had been looking forward to this vacation, away from what they called their tedious everyday life. Their plans were simply to relax and enjoy themselves, and each other.
The first thing they did after they got settled in was to go on a horseback ride across their expansive property in the French countryside. Their chateau was located in a particularly beautiful part of the country, and they were anxious to see the area once again.
"I have forgotten how lovely it is here," Keiko said, pulling her horse to a stop along a low cliff overlooking the landscape.
"Yes," Tadachi agreed, pulling up his own horse beside hers. "We should come here more often."
Keiko dismounted, and secured her horse to a nearby tree. "Come, dear, let’s walk a ways on foot."
"Alright," He said, dismounting, "My legs could use a stretch." He then secured his horse next to Keiko’s, and the two began walking across a patch of wild roses.
It was not long before Keiko turned and put her arms around Tadashi. "Did I ever tell you how much I loved you?"
Tadashi turned to look at her and pulled her close. "Yes you have, love, and have I ever told you that my life would be nothing without you?"
"Yes you have, dear," she replied, and gave him a long, passionate kiss before continuing. "Just think how worthless the world would be if we didn’t have each other."
He pulled her even closer, and started fondling her rear. "I can’t imagine such a world. There are already too many unworthy people on this planet, no matter how hard we try to get rid of them." He then moved his hands to her front and started unbuttoning her blouse. "Sometimes I think you are the only one worthy enough to live."
"Look on the bright side, dear," Keiko said, undoing his pants, "We will always have each other, no matter how many worthless people are alive."
Tadashi smiled, and kissed her while laying her down
on the soft grass. They were swift in removing the rest of each other’s
clothing, sharing kisses along the way. Soon they were both naked, their
bodies pressed together as they made love among the wild roses. The only
thought in their minds was each other, and how together they would cleanse
the world from those who were unworthy to live.
