Digimon Tamers

Digimon Tamers 40: Evolution's Shine! Shining Evolution

ANGST DESTINY ANGST Ah, trust the Japanese to be repetitive. And then trust the US people to come up with a stupidly named counterpart.

Gotta call pest control The episode starts off with the bubbles flying everywhere, the Holy Beasts talking, and Juri chatting with her puppet about destiny. Meanwhile, the Monster Makers work on their ark and Beelzebumon lets himself be taken out by a mob of chrysalimon after angsting over Juri and deciding he didn't want his power anymore.

Blah blah digi-entelechy blahAnd there was much gnashing of teeth from the 'Ruki = Ice Bitch' faction The Holy Beasts convene to discuss their options and Qinglongmon convinces Kurumon to use his power as the digi-entelechy. The shining evolution strikes every digimon available and evolves them to ultimate (mega for you dubbies). During this, the Infermon that were attacking Beelzebumon evolved to diablomons and flew off to the Holy Beast realm. MarineAngemon snuggles Kenta for a moment before being thrown out. Poor MarineAngemon.

Evil!Juri! With his task done, Kurumon falls into Ruki's arms. Juri disappears only to become Evil!Juri.

In the Real World, work on the ark continues and Yamaki sends Takato a counter program. In 40 minutes, the ark would appear in the desert realm. Hello, race for time! Kurumon's now a full-fledged digimon, and the Tamers are sent on their way in another cloud thingy.

Hey, remember that Pineapple computer Koushiro has in season 1? Apparently a member of the Wild Bunch has one. Hee.

Ruki and Renamon to the rescue! 30 minutes to go and Ruki and Renamon take off to retrieve Impmon, despite everyone's protests. During this, the Wild Bunch employs the internet world to pitch in and help in rendering the ark. 10 minutes down and Ruki and Renamon finally find Impmon and drags him back with them.

The ark appears at the same time night falls. Now for happy fun times with stressing over whether or not Ruki and Renamon will make it in time!

Something to note: The term "entelechy" comes from Aristotle's philosophies. It is the vital force that directs an organism towards self-fulfillment.
