Digimon Tamers 50: Crimson Knight Dukemon, Save the Ones You Love
In the last episode, Juri came to her senses and then became tentacle bait,
thus inspiring many a horrible doujinshi artist to draw bad
porn. Takato returns from his family's vacation spot with their
blessing and pride. The main Tamers gather together to use
the red card given to them by Shibumi to aid in their quest.
However, before they can slash it, Ryo and Cyberdramon drop
by to join in on the action. The red card goes through everyone's
D-arks and they enter the D-reaper zone, where they get to battle
a vast number of ADRs.
Within the kernel, Juri finally frees herself from the cables
and frees Kurumon, who's unconscious. In the real world, ADR-07
is wreaking havoc until taken out by Guardromon. When Hirokazu
and Kenta decide to help Takato and the others, a security helicopter
appears.
Off in the D-Reaper Zone, it's brought up that no one has changed
despite the battles, and at one point Ruki mentions that she's
still the Digimon Queen. Ryo ribs her by saying that if she's
the Queen, then he's the King, and is then told to be quiet.
Back to the real world, the injured Impmon is taken good care
of by his Tamers, Ai and Makoto. After some talk, a purple D-ark
appears above them and, outside, a digignome flutters away.
Back in the kernel, Juri finally musters up the courage to
speak up to the D-Reaper and state that it must not steal
humanity's feelings and ideals. A hologram of Leomon nods
when she asks him for confirmation on the inability to
run from destiny. This is all fine and dandy, but she gets
strung up again and the D-Reaper says that all humans
are like her. Which is of course wrong, but you know those
villian types, they never listen.
While the Tamers run towards Mother D-Reaper, a hole turns up
in the ground behind them. The Wild Bunch realize that the D-Reaper
is attempting to merge both Digital and Real Worlds. They decide
to initiate Operation Doodlebug (wtf kind of name is that?),
as well as throw in everything and the kitchen sink. This includes
Shaggai, the program used during the Deva invasion.
In the D-Reaper
Zone, the Tamers turn to find the Shinigami/Cable Reaper
emerging from the hole in the ground. It terrifies everyone,
including Ruki. Dukemon dives in despite Jen's warnings, and
attempts to use Final Elysian on it. This fails, of course.
Takato hears Juri's cry, and Ryo tells him to go save Juri
while they distract the Cable Reaper.
In what is surely yet another nod to Evangelion, a giant monster head
version of Juri emerges and sends Dukemon falling. During the
fall, Takato hears an unfamiliar voice asking if he wants to
fly, if he wants wings. Dukemon agrees, and Takato says that
Grani really is a digimon after all. Grani thanks Guilmon and
Takato, and gives Dukemon its power. This turns Dukemon into
Crimson Dukemon, which is surely a Gundam homage. Crimson Dukemon
takes out the Rei Evil!Juri head and and flies up to Mother D-Reaper.
