Before the start of the series, his girlfriend was attacked by a monster from the Mirror World, and Ren was given the cards needed to contract this monster to him. Thus he became the Masked Rider Knight, and the monster Dark Wing became his familiar. He is a taciturn person who prefers to keep his motives unknown and his real feelings under wraps. Because of his past success, he can afford to pick and choose his cases, and will turn down any defense case for someone he believes may be guilty. He fights in hopes that the prize given for defeating the other Riders will be eternal life. |

Likewise, to him the battle was a game until he found out how real it all was a little too late. |

Asakura Takeshi (played by: Hagino Takashi) Birthday: May 27, 1973 Birthplace: Tokyo Blood type: B Height: 182 cm Hobby: Reading Contracted monster: Venosnaker Detail: Nothing positive can be said about Asakura, a.k.a. Masked Rider Ouja. He was a dangerous criminal who, when there was no one to attack, would inflict damage on himself. He was responsible for the murder of several people, a handful of Masked Riders, and he might have been responsible for the fire that killed his parents. He had a murderous grudge against Kitaoka for refusing to take his case. |

Sano Mitsuru (played by: Hyuuga Takashi) Birthday: December 2, 1980 Birthplace: Saitama Prefecture Height: 184 cm Hobby: Swimming, soccer Contracted monster: Omegazelle, Megazelle, Gigazelle, Negazelle, Magazelle Detail: A naive rich brat who never realized that money can't buy everything, Mitsuru was enthusiastic about becoming Masked Rider Impala until he realized how high the stakes really were. He tried to get rid of the cards, but was told that if he did, the herd of monsters contracted to him would turn on him. Terrified, he did the only thing that made sense to him: fill a suitcase with money and try to buy the protection of the other Masked Riders. Unfortunately, he learned the hard way that there are some things no amount of money can buy. |
